Lilia Nash Hammered Wedding Rings

When Should You Order Your Wedding Rings?

Wow, how wet has the weather been over the last few days!  Here in the Southwest, autumn has well and truly arrived and with it Wedding Fair season!  Which brings us to the point of this latest blog!

One of the main questions we are asked is “when should we order our wedding rings?” So, we wanted to share with you a little of our processes to make sure you receive your rings exactly when you want them.

Here at Lilia Nash, we only keep one sample of each wedding ring design in stock - most of our rings are handmade to order, so it is very different from purchasing a ring from the High Street where you will likely have a selection of sizes and designs to choose from and can potentially take them home the same day.

This means that your wedding ring is completely individual, having those tiny differences in each ring made, because our processes are entirely by hand. Why do we do this?  A handmade wedding ring tends to be stronger than those that have been cast and reduces the porosity of the ring, tiny air bubbles if you like, which over time cause imperceptible weaknesses that you will know nothing about until the ring is damaged or breaks.  The hand-making process compresses the metal, ensuring that the ring is as strong as it can possibly be and will last decades with the right care!

We have a number of designs for you to choose from and you can also choose a customised wedding ring.  If you would like to add some diamonds or sapphires into the band, depending on the style you have chosen, this is something we would be able to do and we can also help guide you with those bespoke designs to compliment your engagement ring.

We also only use 100% recycled metals that we source from a specific supplier and we don’t keep a huge stock of metal, particularly platinum which has the longer lead time for delivery.

With this in mind, we suggest allowing 8-14 weeks for your handmade wedding rings.  If you need your ring sooner than this, please get in touch so we can see if we can help you with that, it may incur a small extra charge.  We will always try to accommodate if we possibly can.

Currently our most popular wedding rings for men is the 4mm wide comfort fit bands, which can be made with a variety of finishes, from polished to hammered.
